I provide English workbooks and writing materials and include work on vocabulary, grammar, reading, pronunciation and writing. The workbooks I use are at a level in accordance with what I gauge the student's ability to be from our introduction.  Sometimes students may want some help with a particular area of their school work and I assist them with this where requested. I also include various word games and quizzes into the morning's activities, which students find to be fun, and therefore tend to learn more. Although we take more than one student into our home at one time, we only take one from a particular nationality at one time where requested; so we may have French, Spanish, Italian etc. staying at any one time, which generates a lot of fun with learning the language, and often accelerates improvement through general conversation and group activities. I find that the best way to improve language skills is by talking and students get lots of opportunity for practice wtih us!
