I'm Ger, a qualified Solicitor with an honours Law Degree from the University of Wales, Cardiff; a Diploma in Export Law and a Certificate in Legal Studies from Waterford Institute of Technology in the South of Ireland.
I have experience in teaching English to a number of foreign students of varying ages. At present I am taking a career break from Law so I have lots of time to spend with our guests and to assist them with English lessons on a daily basis.
My husband, Paul, owns and runs a bicycle shop in our local town of Enniscorthy.
We like to travel and we enjoy meeting people from other countries and cultures. We also like eating out and going to the cinema. I like to walk and read and Paul is a keen cyclist.
My sister has an organic farm next to our house, with chickens, ducks, horses, pigs, cows, sheep and hens; students are always welcome to spend time there helping out and learning about Irish farm life!
We also have other family living close by and we have nieces and nephews on both sides, of varying ages. Our family members are open and friendly and the various conversations which students engage in with them, as well as with ourselves, helps to improve their vocabulary and understanding of the English language.
Bicycle hire can be arranged through Paul in his bicycle shop for mature students, while younger students may have the use of bikes at our home.
